I have a T (1999) Galaxy.

How can I be deffinatly be sure that the car has the capability of remote central locking, as I don't want to waste money buying a key then finding out that I can't programme it.

Thanks

Using vagcom...or similar....you can easily determine whether remote locking is available on your vehicle.

Also it is worth getting for its other diagnostic capabilities.

Or could always borrow someones key and try programming it to the car.

Would be interesting for board members to know how in VAGCOM to determine this.

You can look at the Coding in the Central Electronics.

Try below...for further info.

Cheers,

Found that anything without remote locking is normally coded 00005 - +1 for the all doors lock/unlock - the remote only one has a much higher coding. Wonder if you can recode them to enable locking as there are only three levels of CJB on the Galaxy ...
